my burmese python HAD mites and i bought some stuff that you just wet a
cotton ball with it and rub it on the snake.  mites were gone in a day. My
Glen(my python) is just fine. i used the medicine about 5 months ago i think
it's called Rid-Mite you should be able to get it in any pet store that
sells snakes and the like.     Hope this info helps

Some snake people use the human head louse product called NIX. get your
hands full of teh stuff, make teh snake glide trough your hand, let sit for a
few minutes, rinse well.  Someone elsemight have even better procedures for
this NIX treatment..

My snake has had mites before and because I didn't have anything else, I
used cat/dog flea "DIP" in the proper concentration and it worked great.
Just mix it up in a bowl or small tub...depending on size of snake and "dip"
them in for about 10 seconds and then let them out and dont dry them off.
Just put them back in their enclosure and the mites just dissappear.  It
worked great but make sure you keep it off their head...it's not good to
get into their eye's/mouth/etc.  I also used this same treatment on my
new iguana that was heavily infested when I got her and it once again
worked GREAT!  ;-)
