The wife recently adopted two iggys, the previous owner told her
one (the green one) is a iguana iguana and the second(brown) a
butterfly iguana. I have been able to get information about the
iguana iguana through ComuServe. But we just can't seem to fing
any information on the little brown guy(gal).
They are both uder six months old and about 16 to 18 inches.  We
house them in an aquarium, together!  They seem to do alright!
We reallly like them and consider that we will raise them the nest
decade oor two.  We just need to know what the brown one is so we
can search for more info.

It's probably a spiny iguana.  They cost about the same as green iguanas
(sometimes a little more) and are brown, with little ridges on the dorsal
edge of their tail.  They are frequently housed and sold with green iguanas
in the pet shops.  Care is about the same as the green iguana, but they may
take crickets and mealworms.  Are said to become vile tempered.
