I don't know anything about this product, but different vitamin powders are
sold for animals that eat crickets than animals that eat a herbivorous diet.
Now it could be that the companies are only trying to get more money out of
people by making them for out for a different type of powder for the herbies
and cricket munchers instead of offering a powder for all types, but it
could very well be that using the wrong type of powder may be harmful to the
health of the animal in question

"Cricket Dust is an ultrafine powder containing the highest quality of
vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, and calcium to supplement your reptile
or amphibian insect diet. Using HerpCare Cricket Dust will give your reptile
or amphibian pet a strongly balanced nutritional diet. Coat the insects with
the cricket dust and feed to your pet. Use at each feeding. Unused insects
will need to be recoated before introducing at mealtime. You can also
sprinkle the powder over finely chopped vegetables. It is also suggested
that you feed your insects the Cricket Dust, as well. Comes with a measuring
spoon and Guide to Healthy Herps. Size: 2.1 oz. bottle. "

Patrick,

It all depends. I have never even heard of this product, but for Iguanas
(Green Iguanas)  the supplement should NOT contain too much phosphorous nor
excessive amounts of (synthetic) D3.

Below is a link to a site that will give you alternatives to expensive
"reptile" supplements for your Iggy. I personally use TUMS (for added
calcium) as well as Centrum (vitamins & trace minerals) for all my Iggy's.
This is a tip I got from a acquaintance of mine who works with Iguanas at
the San Diego Zoo.

Hmmm.  Do you just grind the vitamins and Tums up in a coffee grinder
or food processor?

I may try this for my Corucia.  Thanks Wade!

I'm from the old school....I prefer to use a mortar and pestle (really). It
is actually less work than having to clean a blender after each use; and I
can reduce the tablets to a finer powder that a blender can.

I've been looking for an excuse to get one.  Now I guess I have one!
