Moon's Graden

Hi, I need some advice concerning Stu's hiding box. Right now I have it
built onto his basking shelf in his ecloser.  The problem is, Stu spends
way too much time hiding.  He comes out for a while basks, the goes nack
to the box and hides.  The temperture on the shelf ranges from 86F - 96F.
He has plenty of room to move around, and a large encloser. I'm
concerned that all this hide is contributing to his antisocial behavior.
 When I let him out to free room, he walks around the room for a while
and heads back to the encloser. My question is, should I move the box
from basking shelf and place it at the bottom of the encloser with the
plants or just leave him be?
There is a JPG of Stu's encloser on my home page if you would like to
see it.  It's not the best scan, but the best I could do while in
school. The picture will be rescanned nest week after finals are over.
