(Tigger may have Chronic Renal Failure, or ... but he's a sick kitty.)

Tigger and the medical results are giving us mixed signals. Tigger himself is
feeling better - not great, but better. He settled next to Carol for pettings
yesterday, and even wanted some from me (the "mean" one). He is looking a bit
more alert and happy.

Tigger did not get IV fluids, as he gets scared at the vets and turned into a
wild kitty. We brought him home and continue to give him Sub-Q fluids. The vet
got a urine sample when he was so mad he peed on the table. There was a lot of
*** in the sample, so they did an X-ray, which showed stones in one kidney
and bladder stones. They are not the CAUSE of his kidney problems, but could
be a contributing factor.

His urinalysis, however, did not show any infection. We do have him on
antibiotics - our vet to prevent any new infections, us because we are still
not certain he doesn't have an infection somewhere else that just didn't show
up in the *** work and is shutting his kidney's down. We are trying to be
hopeful, though it is hard.

Tigger goes back for a follow-up *** test on Monday. By then, we'll know if
the antibiotics are kicking an "imaginary" infection or not.

Please keep the purrs coming. Tigger will be loved and cared for as long as he
wants to be with us. But I really don't want to lose him yet. (Bast, do you
hear that??!!)

Dear Kalynnda,

I am so very sorry to hear that your vet has not yet been able to find the root cause for Tigger's
health problems and sincerely hope that he soon will.

Whatever the diagnosis, the gang will purr and I shall keep my fingers crossed for any necessary
treatment to be simple and quickly effective.

Hugs

Sheenah

We're still purring for your boy.  We're sending purrs and prayers
that his problem turns out to be something easily treatable.
