I'm looking for a good environmetally friendly (cheap if possible)
litterbox filler. I saw some wood pellets at the health food store that I
really like but that is very expensive.

How cheap?  You could go and dig soil. ;)  Or shred newspaper.  Kate

  I would be very much interested in a good or very good to excellent environment
 friendly litterbox filler myself.  How much did these wood pellets cost?
I was looking at pet supply web sites and came across a system that used sponge-like
pads.  On top of the pads were these really chunky size pellets of some sort.
Supposedly these pellets were reusable and the pads were easily replaced.  I
didn't see how much these cost.
  What's wrong with some really cheap litter anyway?  Just wondering.

  How about fill dirt?  Plain old
fill dirt.  Dirt is pretty environmentally friendly.  Dirt is inexpensive.
I think Dirt would work.
  How about grass clippings?  Or lawn leaves?  What's a lawn leaf?  A
lawn leaf is one of those brown leaf like things which appear on the lawn.  
Ussually in the fall.  I haven't sean many this time of the year.
You can spot a lawn leaf because they look very similar to tree leaves.
It's sort of an odd occurrance because lawn leafs spontaneously appear
right around the same time tree leaves disappear from the trees.  Is there
a connection?  Hmmmmm.
