Waffles update - 11 May 2000 - am

Firstly a thank you to *everyone* who is sending prayers and healing
thoughts to Waffles. It is gratefully appreciated and very
heartwarming. I am overwhelmed by the kindness being shown and I
apologise for not respinding to everyone individually - I've just had
so many messages through, I am swamped. I cannot thank you all enough,
however, for this! I am amazed - not only am I getting messages of
support from people I have corresponded with on the net, and met, but
I am receiving messages for Waffles from complete strangers. Thank so
so much for all your kindnesses.

Just to keep all up to date - Waffles had a restful night and this
morning is still holding her won, that the vet is able to x-ray her
this morning. As soon as I have the results of the x-rays I will post
again.  Waffles has responded so well so far - having eaten a little
yesterday, and peed, and growled at the vet, all positive signs, so I
am hoping and praying that her internal injuries are not too bad and
will heal completely, whatever they turn out to be.

The lady that stopped for Waffles and took her to the vet is, to me, a
guardian angel. She saw people drive over and around Waffles without
stopping, which upset her so (me too when she told me) - she could not
bear it - so she took Waffles to a vet - which turned out to be our
own vet immediately. I canot express adequately how grateful I will
always be to that lady. I thank God and whatever powers that be for it
being *her* who stopped.

Please continue with healing thoughts and prayers, Waffles isn't out
of the woods quite yet.

*hugs* of gratitude, helen s

Love us, love ower hoomin...
