Mousie hunt Day 6

The hunt started late today. Apparently, someone brought some nip out
the night before and several of the kitties over-imbibed. After ice packs
on their heads, the afflicted were pronounced fit to participate.

To start the day, the younger kitties decided to put on a show of their
mousing skills. A Grandstand was erected by the garden area and all the cats
gathered to watch. Samson went first, showing the skills he has learned
from watching Bobbie, Dylan, and Tyler. He is clearly months ahead of
the other young kitties. Next was Olive, who showed remarkable speed and
agility. The rest of the younger kitties were also very good, and the crowd
showed thier appreciation by loud Cat cheers and paw clapping. Ribbons were
awarded to all the young kitties for their efforts and acomplishments.

Mr Christofur came from the office with the restraining order for the pet
mice and bird group and the cats leaped over the fence and headed off to
the hunt. On a sad note, it was made aware to the cats that one of the
horses who had been so helpful was no longer living in the pasture. BB,
the palimino, was sold the night before and moved to his new home. All the
cats sent him purrs and wish him well in his new life.

The stomping scared up many mice and rats today. The cats had their paws full
catching what they could. The younger kitties came out to the pasture
today with sacks, carrying the captured prey back to the trailer for preparation.
Everyone worked very hard, and cool drinks were a frequent reason to take a
break.

After the dinner, many of the cats went home to prepare for other events
happening in the RPC world. Those who stay. went to sleep, looking forward to
another full day of mouse hunting.
