: My kitten caught and ate a fly..... >YUCKY< she won't get sick will she
: ???
Nah. =) Mine eat flies, ants, spiders, moths....
my youngest came and greeted me in bed early one morning with *ack*
SPIDER LEGS*** out of her mouth....
: My other question is how much should kitten eat (she is about 12 or so
: weeks old) she is eating about 1 and 1 half cans of cat food a day......
: She is not fat but she has a cute little belly and she is very active
: (she like to catch flys) (-: Is she eating to much food ? or not enough
Kittens, by and large, are self-regulating...if they're hungry,
they eat; if they're not, they don't. If she has a round "pot-belly" she
may still have worms and she needs to go to the vet with a poop sample in
case she needs medicine. You may also want to start switching her to dry
food; it's better for her teeth, cheaper, and her poop won't smell
*quite* as bad. You could try giving her canned food in the morning and
leaving dry food out for her all day, and see how much of it she eats. If
she finishes all of it and still begs, she needs more; if it's all gone
but she doesn't seem troubled, she's getting enough, and if there's quite
a bit left over, she's got a little more than necessary. Of course in a
young cat there's almost no such thing as "too much"..think of how fast
they grow and how much fuel they need to do it!
Find out about the worm thing, and let us know how it turns out...
