My cats gets on the stove at night..I know this cause when I do the dishes, there is cat hair on it.  Is there any suggestions??  I was wondering if I got some bitter apple if that might deter her from doing it.

Thanks

A nice soaking from a squirt bottle might help. Just spray her with
water every time you catch her on top of the stove. It may not keep
from getting up their all of the time but it does help.  The stove is a
very dangerous place for kitty to be especially if the burners are in use or
are turned off just after a use since they need time to cool down.

I cured my cats from night-time bench raids by sprinkling white pepper over the benches and stoves at night.  I had to do it for a while but it worked!

Cats frequently discover that the spot over the pilot light of a gas
stove is always warm.  Trouble is, their paws and tail dangle too near
the openings which lead to actual open flame.  And cats are flamable.

Took me weeks to realize the reason my cat's whiskers were singed was
that he was curling up on the stove when I left for work.  For lack of
any quick solution, I placed a few large pots on the stove to leave
him no room up there.
