Hi all!
The 12 little monsters are doing VERY well these past few days!
They are: Marmalade,Ninkip, Taz, Weasel, Sugarfoot,
Edward Scissorhands, Damien, Carrie, Christine, Samantha, Tabitha and Noxious.
The youngest by my estimate since no one really knows are Marmalade,
Sugarfoot and Christine...I *think* they are littermates and getting close to 4
weeks old. I'd say those 3 are showing great promise at becoming adoptable
house pets. Marmalade spends his time completely outside the room now with our
4 cats who have all excepted him finally! Sugarfoot and Christine are
following his lead...both were allowed out this morning while I got ready for
work and seemed curious and unafraid. All 3 come to me now for head scratches
and will lay in may lap getting some attention.
The least encouraging prospects are Edward, Damien and Noxious---they still
growl at me. I think they comprise litter number 2. Damien bites at me and is
the worst candidate for a happy home life; he'd rather starve then come to me
for food. He's a rather unattractive scappy looking black and grey kitten with
a wide flat forehead and narrow eyes. For some reason I like this guy.
(reminds me of my ex-husband perhaps?)
Ninkip, Taz, Weasel,Carrie,Samantha and Tabitha also appear to be a
"litter" and are sort of in the middle. I feel like I have a chance to get
those tamed. They cautiously approach me for food but don't seem to want or
require any human affection. Still I think there is hope with this litter;
they don't growl anymore or display aggression towards me.
Tonight I spoiled them with a can of bumble-bee pink salmon. They are now
in a giant 'kitten-pile' washing each other contentedly. My husband is pouting
and says that was his salmon...hahahahaha. Hey...it was for a good cause! :)
