I strongly suspect that the original post referred to London, England,
as Hayes in Middlesex is near to London. If I were you I'd look in the
local phone book and call the RSPCA, the Cats Protection League, and any
other obvious places. I'd also read the local paper as they often have
information about smaller local cat shelters (well mine does). But
those people should point you in the right direction. Of course if you
want to come into London there's also Battersea Dog's Home (who also
rescue cats - my two came from there), but you'll probably find
somewhere more local who will be glad of the help. Good luck.
