New Kitty Litter Commercial

Post by Theresa Moy » Tue, 03 Aug 1999 04:00:00

I saw the funniest commercial this weekend, though I don't remember the name
of the litter.
It starts in a vet's waiting room, people are holding their pets.  One
lady's cat jumps from her arms, goes up to the receptionist and just looks.
The receptionist points down the hall.  The kitty walks down the hall,
looks at one door - it's the lady's room.  Looks at another door, it's the
men's room. Then the kitty finds the door with a cat on it, goes in and
you see the VACANT sign get switched to OCCUPIED.  The spokesman says,
"Until your cat is totally self-sufficient, use......." whatever the litter
is.
Then you're back out in the waiting room, the cat's owner is talking to
someone who points, she looks, and gets this horrified look on her face.
They show the cat walking back into the room, with a trail of
toilet paper attached to it's back paw.  It made me laugh out loud!

<snipped version one>

can't be a very good commercial, then, can it? :-)

anyway, there's a second version that takes place (it appears) in someone's
home... at the end of that one, the cat is asked if he has washed his
hands, at which point he jumps down and runs back to the bathroom to take
care of that detail.

very nicely done, and i suspect sooner or later we'll know the brand.

I've seen and loved both this and the version Robert mentioned.  I don't
remember the brand either.

I saw it yesterday, and it's for Scoop-Away (if I'm recalling correctly).
