Piglet vs the Banana Monster

Post by Mark Denma » Fri, 10 Sep 1999 04:00:00

<this is an old story, but I never got around to posting it before>

The star of the story is Piglet, a cat of little brain, NeutM DSH grey,
former feral, now snuggle monster who still doesn't like to be held but
loves being petted....

----

My computer sits on a desk under a window. This desk often is used by my
cats to get to the window. I have a big thick (I mean 6' thick)
dictionary on the desk that they will sometimes sit on to look out the
window, or just walk over to get to the window sill.

Well, on doctor's orders, because of medicine I was taking, I was eating
a banana a day. I sat at my computer and put my yellow with brown spots
banana on the dictionary to eat while online. Piglet jumped on my knee,
then on the desk and was just about to jump onto the dictionary when he
saw the Banana Monster. In sudden fear, he immediately slammed into
reverse and hit the gas, scrambling backwards so fast that, like Wile E.
Coyote, he was suspended in mid air with his feet going full speed when
he ran out of desk. He then fell to the floor and flopped on his side
before getting up and running away so fast that he banged into the door
frame.

Once I stopped laughing I went to make sure he was okay.

Good show, Piglet. Stout fellow, that, to escape with his
life from the dreaded banana monster.

Cheers,

Dave

This reminds me of the Hairclip Monster.  Marmite was strolling along
the living room the other day, when she suddenly spied a hairclip on the
arm of the chair.  Immediate puffy, croquet hoop shaped cat.  She
approached it sideways, gave it a slap and then stalked off having
suppressed it.

Sue

I shall be off sick from work tomorrow.  Please advise my colleagues.
The reason is that I nearly fell off my chair laughing at your
description of a "puffy, croquet hoop shaped cat", and am still having
some problems breathing.

Today Patrick was stopped dead in his tracks by the dreaded "Bra Monster"...
I got a good giggle out of watching him stalk and kill my bra.

Berfert won't kill my bra monster, but he will my daughter Amanda's.  I think
he's working up the courage to go after the big game.  He does kill my knee high
monsters on a regular basis.  I really think he believes that they eat my legs.
He won't go after the panty hose though, again the big game issue.  He used to
kill Mandy's night gowns, shirts ect, but they're too big for him now too.
