by I made a small breakthru with a few of the kittens today. I decided to only
give the bottle to those who would come and get it...I sat on the floor in the
corner with my bottles of warm yummy formula and waited. Marmalade came a
running and showed the others what they were missing smacking his kitty lips
loudly. Soon I had another kitten come and get in my lap swatting Marmalade
away from the bottle and close behind him was another kitten. 5 in all came to
me on thier own to get fed and didn't growl for a change while they ate (thats
5 out of 12). I'm off work today so I'm going to go in again in a few hours.
I leave the tv on in there during the day, it may be stupid but I'm hoping it
will get them accustomed to normal "house sounds". Marmalade is out of the
room on 'parol' again visiting Garth.
I'm going to take all 12 of the little devils outside today to play in the
cat enclosure, it will be the first time in a week they have been back outside
since thier capture.
They can all eat canned kitten food now (well kind of...some walk thru it
still) and can drink water so the bottle is mostly a "taming tool" I'm using
now. Besides I'm certain thier own mommies would still be nursing them-- they
range in age from 3 weeks to 4 weeks now I'd say and putting on weight nicely.
